i just had a unilateral laparoscopic oophorectomy done. how will my menstrual cycles be now?

No change : As long as your other ovary is functioning normal you should not see any difference in your menstrual cycles. The other ovary will produce all of the normal hormone levels.

i had a laparoscopic unilateral oophorectomy 2 weeks ago. is it normal to still feel pain w pain medications? not the incisions, but inside where the ovary used to be? pain is achy, sometimes pulsating.

Early preg pain: If you are having pain in early pregnancy then you need to see an obgyn to make sure all is normal. The most important step is to have an ultrasound to confirm that there is a viable pregnancy located inside the uterus and not an ectopic pregnancy. Cramping in early pregnancy is very common and in most cases everything is ok

: Age "59" is almost certainly post-menopausal, but continued stimulation of the ovaries by your pituitary will cause higher estrogen production from the remaining ovary, which can be converted to some hormones with mild androgen capacity, giving rise to facial hair.  Oral low dose birth control pills may arrest this progression, and reduce menopausal symptoms as well.

Menopausal Pain: The right sided pain could reflect ovarian cystic activity, like the l -sided cysts you had 13 years ago. You didn't say how long you have been menopausal - ovarian activity will reflect residual levels of lh and fsh, depending on whether you are truly menopausal or peri-menopausal. The surgery could also have resulted in some scarring and stretching of ligaments. Check w/ your gynecologist.

i had a oophorectomy the end of april and have had an increase in pelvic pain. is this normal?

No: If your pain is worse, then it may not have been from your ovary. On the other hand, there may bee some adhesions from the surgery. You need to discus this with your GYN.
