i have a bad migraine with shortness of breath and chest pain?

Chest pain & dyspnea: My first response is to get you to the nearest urgent care center.  The combination of severe head pain, difficulty breathing and chest pain makes me want to call 911 for you.

But, as a physician if the acuteness of this question has passed and we wanted to explore the history a bit to investigate the cause there are a number of questions and tests that should be run.

But, today go to the er.

Accepted Answer

Needs evaluation: Your symptoms merit further evaluation.  A holter monitor and echocardiogram would provide useful information assessing for structural heart disease & arrythmia.  Not sure how the migraine may play into it.

shortness of breath severe migraine followed by blood in nasal mucus. chronic migraine aura sufferer. could this be from headaches?

No: The bleeding and shortness of breath are not due to migraine, and you possess a co-morbidity or a second independent problem.

If one is taking Birth Control/Hormone Pills, there are health conditions to evaluate and if not there are another host of issues to evaluate. The anxiety feeling could be significant. Best  to see M.D. or go to ER.

See a physician.: just the double vision is of such a concern that if that was your only symptom, I would advise you to see a physician. shortness of breath and chest pressure is another indication to see a doc.  perhaps all this is anxiety, but you must have this evaluated medically.

Graduated exertion: If shortness of breath is due to a pathologic process (aka "disease"), it progressively worsens with increasing severity of exercise. If I understand you, you become breathless early on but, when you exercise more, it gets better or at least doesn't interfere (?) - to me, that suggests a "warm-up" phenomenon. This is physiologic, not pathologic (aka "normal). Increasing fitness should alleviate it

Go to ER: These are not typically related. Chest pain and shortness of breath should result in a trip to the er.

i've had migraines and double vision. numb hands shortness of breath. recently tested positive for intestinal parasite. could it cause other symptoms?

Accepted Answer

Parasites: can cause lots of GI symptoms but not the symptoms you mention.  You need to see your doctor ASAP for help.  If he/she is not able to help please move on to a specialist such as a neurologist and/or eye doctor.  Peace and good health.

over 2 days i've had the following symptoms: sore throat, migraines, blocked nose, sweating, dry throat,  irritable throat,  throat is red inside and shortness of breath.

kindly advise?

: Any fever?  Have you been tested for COVID-19?  These are all COVID symptoms, but could also be symptoms of other problems including but not limited to other viral illnesses and seasonal allergies. Get tested for COVID and schedule a visit with your doctor if symptoms persist or worsen.

feeling of tightening in lower throat causing shortness of breath, dizziness, migraines, can't lose weight. simple bloodwork says my thyroid is apparently fine. thyroid issues run in family. what do i do?

: The other condition associated is acid reflux, particularly if you are overweight. Discuss a trial of over the counter treatment options, exercise, avoid smoking and caffeine. Don’t eat meals less than two hours prior to bedtime. The dizziness may be related to your migraines but further evaluation may be needed.
