? Ulcer: pain that connects the stomach and back may be due to an ulcer or irritation in the stomach lining. Pl get it checked out! Taking Motrin can really irritate the stomach lining. If your stomach bothers you then for the moment you should avoid tomato-based products and citrus fruits and juices especially oranges. Avoiding alcohol as well as caffeinated drinks can also help.

Accepted Answer

Don't worry!: It would exceedingly unusual for someone in their 20s to get pancreatic cancer! And there are many more things that cause the symptoms you describe, from irritable bowel syndrome to dietary intolerances to gallbladder inflammation. Talk to your provider. And try to focus on other things!

i'm 6 weeks pregnant with mid back pain and ribs no stomach pain or cramping what could be the reason?

Muscle tension: It sounds like you are having some muscle strain which is common during pregnancy. The pain in your ribs is likely costochondritis. This is inflammation in the muscles between your ribs. This can occur from coughing or just laying on that side while sleeping. If other symptoms arise such as fevers, nausea, vomiting or pain with urination, visit your doctor immediately as it may be an infection.

upper stomach pain, mid-back pain, diarrhea, bloating, and gas all coming on late at night to early morning. this has happened a few times now (about once a month) and wakes me up. a heating pad helps, as does sipping lemon water. what should i do?

: If only once or very infrequent, no reason for great concern. If recurrent or more frequent (you decide the cutoff) need to see your primary care physician or gastroenterologist

what would be causing severe stomach pain with mid back pain,abdominal pain and tenderness on both sides? i also have cramping in my pelvic region. i am also having symptoms tied to lupus including butterfly rash on face. i have no insurance?

mid back pain +2 yrs, comes & goes daily. mri spine clear, ultrasound of abd clear, and x-ray of chest clear (all ~1 yr ago). no stomach pains. ibuprofen & mild exercise help sometimes. has worsened. what would you ask 4? should i think cancerous?

: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without taking additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor and discuss if you may be depressed. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Start with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity as tolerated. Drink more water. Wish you good health!

: The word 'burning' back pain brings 'Shingles' or other Viral infections to mind. But it could be a number of things from simple bruise and contusions to Urinary Tract Infection, Right Kidney Infection or  Kidney Stone and more ... Best to see the PCP for diagnosis and appropriate management.

Could be bad or not: You are describing possibly gallbladder pains; you should see you local doctor for an evaluation.  You may just have indigestion.  This pain needs to be explored in order to better help you and relieve your symptoms. I am curious if the pain occurs after eating a high fat meal; if so this indeed could be biliary colic, which is gallbladder pain.  Good luck and happy healing!

Be seen: There are many possibilities, from a viral gastroenteritis, to an ulcer, to a problem with your gall bladder, among many other possibilities.  I would not hesitate to be seen and evaluated for it.
