Different goal: Punch biopsy is a simple way to gain a tissue sample of the skin for analysis and determine of whether it is cancerous.  Mohs is a way to gradually remove under microscopic control all tissue that is cancerous until a normal margin is reached.  
These are two different goals and not a question of preference.

Mohs Recovery: Mohs is a specific way to remove skin cancer. Recovery depends on the size of the tumor, and how the area is closed. If the area is small, direct closure heals the fastest, followed by flaps, grafts and allowing the area to heal with sound care. Skin cancer: Mohs surgery is a type of surgery to completely excise skin cancer. The tissue is sent pathologist who tells surgeon immediately where he need to keep resecting until all margins are free of cancer.

Minimal: The Mohs procedure itself has few complications. Occasionally a wound infection and rarely, significant bleeding. But the procedure often takes a while (local anesthesia) and may leave a cosmetic defect that requires a complicated procedure to reconstruct. (But it has a very HIGH rate of total removal of the skin cancer)

: Lidocaine 2% ,no more than 1ml is needed in most cases if on soft tissue.

Yes: I presume  you are taking mastic gum to help with stomach upset, perhaps even diagnosed as having Helicobacter Pylori infection, and the honey as a helping therapy.  The dose you mention for the mastic is a little on the high side, but shouldnt be a problem.

Rare to return: Mohs paste is an arsenical  used to treat large relatively low grade skin cancers such as basal Ca.  After the paste is applied and the area of involvement resected, biopsies of peripheral margins taken to see if procedure complete.  Frequently reapplication occurs until clean.  If later recurrence develops procedure can be repeated  or Electron beam RT can be used.
