DARK STOOL: Dark black stool can be a sign of ge - bleeding. Sometimes antibiotic usage can change the color of stool..Bismuth and iron supplements can also change the color of your stool to dark black.

i took doxycycline for chlamydia treatment, became reinfected after a few weeks so took a second round of doxycycline. after completing this, my doctor prescribed metronidazole for bv. now experiencing a thin pale yellow discharge no smell - thrush?

: Vaginal yeast infection (thrush) can follow such broad spectrum antibiotic treatment. However, "thin pale yellow" discharge is not typical for yeast infection; the main symptoms is vulvar irritation and itching, with scant thick white discharge, if any discharge at all. Best to not make assumptions, but to check back with the doctor or clinic treating you. Good luck.

Clay color stool is a light tan and it is a concern when it stays that color for a prolonged time (more than 5 days). It can indicate liver disease where the bile ducts are damaged. Talk to your Dr if you have persistent clay colored stool, as they can test your liver enzymes and do imaging.

See your doctor.: You must see your doctor to get this fully evaluated.  It might be nothing more than being on your meds, but it might be something serious.  It might be something to do with your pancreas as you're diabetic, so an enzyme panel including amylase and lipase might help.  You're relatively young, so it's unlikely to be a serious issue, but you never know so see your doctor to be sure.
