There are many: false positives with screening tests for methamphetamine and other stimulants, but if you have a report that gies that kind of number, it would sound like a more sophisticated test was done, like gas chromatography and mass spectroscopy. If you are using other street drugs, lots of them are cut with other things, including forms of speed. If there was no chain of custody on specimen,mistakes occur

False positive meth: Please reference the following website for an exhaustive list. If the test was just don in the office and was not sent off to a lab for final confirmation then it should be. It is only by final confirmation at a lab that the false positives in the office can be sorted out.

No: there are no reports of any such false positives with tramadol to my knowledge, or in the literature.  I checked several authoritative sites and cannot find any references to this.  I found that on drug bulletin boards, many people (all anonymous, ? authority) say that it does show up as methadone.  It definitely does not cause false positive for methamphetamine.  Meth can mean either.

On screening tests: possibly, but not on the confirmatory tests.  Any time testing is used for forensic purposes, where you can be excluded from a job, or fired, or have probation/parole revoked etc etc the initial screening test MUST be followed by a more sophisticated confirmatory test, which can tell the difference between a false and true positive.  If they are not confirming the test, I would seek legal counsel.

Lots of reasons: For one thing, in many parts of the US (as well as the rest of the world) Methadone programs are sharply limited in how big they can be, and where they can operate, and there are LONG waiting lists for spots. Secondly, many people and esp. those with prescription drug problems, are not comfortable being in programs together with IV heroin users, and prefer a doctors office. More treatments=better.

See below: After being on 30 mg meth,  you will not be comfortable on 4 mg but may be comfortable on a full dose of 16 or more  almost immediately unless you had been recently reduced to that dose from a higher meth dose.
