Depends: Depends on severity, response to treatment, also underlying contributors such as lupus, hepatitis b or c, cancer or meds such as Penicillamine (not penicillin) or nsaids.Not all cases have an obvious contributor.Mild cases frequently go into remission without treatment.Severe or refractory cases may lead to dialysis or kidney transplant.A nephrologist can give a more specific answer case-by-case.

Premature: Ejaculation is sometimes called ill-timed ejaculation.  It is a subjective evaluation.  You may orgasm too quickly and not satisfy your partner.  If you have concerns you can see your doc or a licensed sex therapist.  It is not an illness.  Please ask your urologist or your doc about the stricture question.  Peace and good health.

No cutting: The time honored method of treatment for straight forward strictures is urethral dilatation. Visual internal urethrotomy was developed about 35 years ago. Urethrotomy is probably better for more complicated strictures.  Discuss the significance of your problem with you doctor.

Pediatric cardiology: Has your baby been seen and evaluated by a pediatric cardiologist.  There is nothing more you can do than make sure that your baby is getting the follow up care that was recommended.  A small membranous VSD is not likely to cause problems at this age AND may close on its own; however, you NEED to be following up with cardiology as they actually know the extent of the lesion!

Possible: response of a membranous urethral stricture to dilatation depends on several factors e.g. length of stricture, composition of stricture, ease of dilatation, etc....dense, long strictures respond poorly than short, soft strictures....

Moderately painful: This most often done using local( Lidocaine) anesthesia in the office,  The pain also depends on the  severity of the stricture. If severe, an optical internal urethrotomy ( cutting  the stricture using a cystoscope) may be done  with  general anesthesia

Confusing question: Most kids born with a small membranous VSD have a murmur found at birth and it will close spontaneously within the first 6 months of life.They seldom require any  treatment.Those with large VSD's at birth often have no murmur at birth but present with difficulty feeding the murmur is found later.These require treatment.Be patient and continue to talk with your doc.

Other sources: there are other things that can cause hamstring type pain. if the pain has not gotten better in 7 mths-get checked out. was there an injury? other things include sciatica, local pathology.

Urgency vs pressure: A stricture interferes with the flow of urine, causing a pressure sensation and difficulty establishing and maintaining urine flow. Overactive bladder is an early sensation of needing to urinate, and peeing a small amount at short intervals.
