Depends: This depends on general,health, age, prior treatments, extent of stenosis, how many levels are involved.

Typical meds include NSAIDS, acetaminophen, anti convulsants, and opioids; but, there are many non med treatments including: PT, injections, decompression stretching, manipulation, spinal stimulation and surgery. See a pain a pain specialist for.best results.  Good luck

i have been on pain meds. for 6yrs.i have lower back pain, right leg pain/numbness and it seems my whole right side is worse?

If your back pain: Is increasing and you are not getting better i would recommend visiting a spine doc or pain doc to see what else can be done.  Chronic pain med use is often worse than the back problem itself.  Treatments can include therapy, steroids, cortisone injections, bracing and surgery.  If it is getting worse definitely see a spine doc or orthopaedist.

You did not say what: Meds were ordered. Of they were like Ibuprofen or for muscle relaxation and you are feeling better it is probably safe to wait. If in doubt visit your gyn for a second opinion before an expensive test.

Back pain: It could be muscles or the joints if the pain is not radiating to the legs. Any tingling, numbness or weakness means a pinched nerve. Localized pain is most likely muscular and should get better with heat/ice, local ointments such as ben-gay, massage or exercise and stretching. Regular gentle aerobics or swimming is the beat exercise.

2. You are addicted to whatever you are buying. See an addiction specialist for help ASAP

i went for a spinal correction surger about 2+ years ago, everything was fine but for almost a year now ive been exspercieng extreme hip and lower back pain.

kindly advise what to do as i cant keep on taking pain meds to ease the pain?

Back pain: Double check with your surgeon, if you have not already.  Physical therapy would very likely help and doing regular back exercises. Epidural steroid may be of help and chiropactic or message therapy can be a benefit.
