We are in a free society, so many people NOT practicing modern medicine do create other types of "medicine" practices. Because our society wants to best protect ourselves from more risky, less effective types of "medicine," only persons with mainstream medical degree should advertise a practice of medicine. We have advanced this far.

Yes: Various supplements or vitamins or only supplements. In order to live a person needs to have food in their stomach. The only exception would be if someone is on hyperalimentation where they’re fed intravenously through their veins

Valproic &amp; Fertility: There is not great evidence whether it is epilepsy itself or to antiseizure drug treatment that may lead to lower fertility.  Valproate has been linked to an increased risk of polycystic ovary disease, a leading cause of infertility in woman.  Most important thing is contraception/family planning  while on and working with a neurologist for med management when deciding to have children.
