Warning signs are chronic headaches that suddenly change in quality or intensity, multiple headaches a week, new onset headaches that affect one's ability to function, associated vomiting, associated dizziness/double vision/neck ache/fever/weakness, or the need to take daily pain medication.

Headache (HA) help: Your list shows aspirin, ibu, and tramadol; if that's all you've tried, don't worry.  These are painkillers, but they don't 'break' a ha.  I usually prescribe Prednisone for intractable ha.  If that doesn't work, i sometimes admit people to the hospital for dhe.  Usually takes about 2-3 days to work and we can give other IV medications at the same time.  You may need to take a daily med to prevent.

Choking and Hesdache: You probably suffered a vascular headache brought about by the sudden increased pressure transmitted through the veins overlying your brain as a result of the "valsalva- like" rapid increase in pressure due to the forced pressures during choking. If the headaches don't return, you are in the clear. If they do, i would consult a neurologist just to make sure you don't have an aneurysm forming.

Get it checked: This is not the type of headache that is usually caused by eye disease or eye strain. The blurred vision is probably secondary to the pain and the headache. You should go see your primary care doctor or a neurologist and not delay any longer.
