Are you sure?: Are you sure you have an amniotic fluid embolus? It is not a chronic condition. It is an acute emergency, usually happening at the time of delivery, and is life threatening. Do you mean pulmonary embolism, which is also life threatening but not always an acute event. The risk of pulmonary embolus is increased during pregnancy.

Depends: It depends on what medications you are placed on.If placed on blood thinner then do not want to take ibuprofen,naprosyn or any other NSAIDS.Aldo would not be prudent to take any meds that increase risk of clots.most of these are prescriptions such as birth control or testosterone etc

on 8-5-2012, i was diagnosed with bilateral pe (pulmonary embolism). i was on medicine till january at which time i ran out. i can't afford to see a doctor. is it ok?

No: You need to wear medical support stockings right away to prevent more deep vein thrombosis which can cause pe and need your blood thinners until your octor says to stop. Please ask friends or relatives to help or a charity / medicaid hospital ... Please.

If a large enough clot forms in the veins of the legs and breaks off it can block the blood flow through the heart and pulmonary artery. Sudden death can be the consequence. It is all too frequently seen in clinical practice. Even minor trauma to the legs or immobility can cause this.

Maternal risk: Your history of eczema and allergies place your child at higher chance of atopic conditions. Males are born with more narrow airways which makes them more likely to wheeze with certain illnesses. As the airway grows this effect is less prominent. Filter: Reasons for placement of filter include the following:  free-floating thrombus in IVC, PE and limited cardiac reserve, prophylaxis for trauma, spinal cord injury, parapalegia, prophylaxis before surgery, poor compliance with anticoagulation. Dizziness in itself can be a separate issue. However, if worsening PE the cause on anticoagulant then this is rational step.
