No: There are some genetic conditions associated with heart block, some associated with deafness. In these cases, the heart block is permanent. If the delay is too intense, conduction slows abnormally and "block" is said to be present. The severity can vary from insignificant /no symptoms to passing out, even death. A simple ekg can usually diagnose the severity.

Mild hypertension: BP of 155/80 is not "very" high.  It is mildly elevated.  EKG findings are nonspecific and may not be related to your BP issue.  Sounds like you should talk to your doc.

my son is & 32 doctor in hospital . at age 17 he had right upper lobe wedge resection & thoracosopic pleurodesis. also had some heart conduction problems with 2.1 second heart blocks. is he higher risk for contracting covid 19 & morbidity from patien?

Covid19: I think his risk of getting covid19 is no more than anyone else, but, if he contracted it,he would be more susceptible to complications because of his lung and cardiac status. I'm confident that he will be very vigilant about recognizing covid19 symptoms very early and getting early treatment and support. Let's hope he doesn't contract it.

i've had shoulder (top back) pain for 3 weeks. have seen 4 gp and physio. last week saw a sports medicine specialist who indicated he suspected i have carpal tunnel syndrome. will a nerve conduction test show where the problem is. pain also in arm?

Carpal tunnel: I would doubt that the discomfort in the back of your shoulder is caused by carpal tunnel syndrome unless hand and finger symptoms are placing strain on your shoulder even if an EMG reveals carpal tunnel problems. You may have a shoulder tendonitis. A shoulder and neck xray is worthwhile to look for bone pathology or arthritis if neckpain Another opinion from an orthopedic specialist is worthwhile

It means there is : A delay of the elcetrical message in your heart coordinating the squeeze between your left upper chamber (atrium) and the left lower chamber (ventricle).  This is not serious and can be monitored by ekgs.

AV block: Av block occurs in first, second and third degree forms. First is usually benign, second can be serious and might need a pacemaker, third degree almost always needs a pacemaker.
