Those interfering with function are often considered as medical necessity to repair. Usually improvement or restoration of appearance does not fall in this category, and therefore not eligible for insurance reimbursement or coverage.

Absolutely not!: Why shouldn't you improve yourself if possible?  Some people exercise to look better, some individuals use make-up.  Patients undergoing cosmetic surgery are no more "unwell in the head" than those individuals.

See below: Just a general simple knowledge of some basic conversational spanish would be nice & respectful. It would be difficult on very short notice to learn detailed medical spanish. It is likely that where you go there will already be medical providers with excellent english skills. Allergies, medications, medical history is important to know. Maybe you can bring copies of your medical reports and tests.

Even healthy patients can have complications so make sure you discuss the potential problems with your plastic surgeon.
