i recently fractured my medial malleolus i think it is. i got two screw three weeks ago. what is recovery time? im 19 im supposed to be using just one crutch it feels weird and im very nervous..any tips for that?

Nothing to worry: You already have successful surgery , reconfirm with your surgeon how much weight bearing is allowed , and wait for the  ' D '  day  for full activity , and get rid of all contraptions .

I would not advice: The fracture may be treated with a short leg cast or a removable brace. Usually, you need to avoid putting weight on your leg for approximately 6 weeks.

You will need to see your physician regularly for repeat x-rays to make sure the fracture does not change in position.

Ankle fractures: typically take around 6 weeks to heal if they are in the proper anatomical position for healing to take place.

Follow your: Doctors instructions. If they told you - you don't need surgery then great. If they told you to use crutches - use them . If they said walk in a camwalker boot then that is what needs to be done. They saw the x-ray and know the extent of the damage.

Patience: I am not sure what natural treatment means but you need to remember that the X-ray results are actually 2 weeks behind what is actually present.  If you are being careful not to injure it again,keeping it elevated to reduce swelling , taking some extra calcium and wearing the splint, if you got one, then you just need a tincture of time to get well.

This depends.....: This depends on the severity of the injury not just to the bone but also to the soft tissues and   associated joint.  After bone healing has occured you may still have some joint swelling and pain.   Return to full activity may take a number of months.

Best for six weeks: It would be best to do it in six weeks but clarify with your physician before you do that. In general fractures heal in six weeks, but sometimes it can occur later

: This is a question best answered by the surgeon who did the case, asked at one of the regular scheduled follow up visits. Do not work out until the surgeon has given you that clarification. Weight bearing as tolerated means you can limp around some if it doesn't hurt too bad.

Bone stimulator: As long as there is no displacement, it may just need a little jump start.  The best way to do achieve this is via a bone stimulator.   A device about the size of an ipod  is strapped to your leg and transmits a current across the fracture site.   Such a charge is actually a physiologic response to bone healing.

Should check with --: Your treating physician, as it depends on the healing of your fx. He'll make a decision based on your xrays findings ; exam. No one but your physician should decide only.
