Vermox: You may need another round of treatment. Make sure that your nails are cut short because pinworm eggs lodge under the nails and are swolled when we put our fingers to the mouth.  Also make dure that your family are also being treated, especially the children

i first realized i had tapeworm 5 weeks ago. used 2 pills of vermox for 6 days. i realized 2 weeks ago it's still there and used another dose 1 per day for 6 days. today i realized everything isn't gone. what medication can i use or what can i do?

Tapeworm : You made need to take a different medication to eradicate it. For example, there is one called albendazole and a couple of others if they might be available where you are. Also, you can reinfect yourself during treatment from your hands so it’s important to be careful about hygiene and hand washing thoroughly during and after taking the medications.

i have tapeworm since the start of the year, vermox 4 times, wormsto 3 times and still after few days they come back. what can i do? why is everything not been killed? all the medication was for 3 days, 2 per day

Resistance: Either you are reinfecting yourself from an outside source or it's resistant to Vermox. Ask a HealthTap doc to prescribe something different like Albenza, Alinia or Biltricide. Good luck!

hi i   am pregnant 2 weeks after conception. it wasn't planned and i didn't know i was pregnant. i took deworming medication twice after our holiday 500mg of vermox twice and i drank quite a lot on holiday. i also ate mouldy bread. i am very worried ?

Some basics: The mold on bread is digested &amp; disposed of by your body like any other protein, with no importance to a fetus. The minimal data we have on vermox does not show problems for pregnant humans, but avoiding it when possible is suggested. Alcohol is toxic to the fetus but such exposure is common &amp; direct effects that early are unknown. Avoidance for the rest of the pregnancy is advised.

will the drug mebendazole (use to treat a tapeworm) effect my adrenal fatigue in a negative way?

Unlikely: Not sure what you mean by adrenal fatigue.  If you have adrenal insufficiency this can be effectively managed with replacement therapy.  See an endocrinologist.  Mebendazole should not affect the adrenal.

1/2 life 6 hours: The half life is short, 3-6 hrs.  It should be largely cleared 1-2 days.

Pin-X: Annoying but harmless condition - this is usually what I recommend to my patients. Have to ask the pharmacist at your store about it.

Maybe: normal treatment for most things with Mebendazole is 3 to 5 days. longer then that depends on what is being treated.

Mebendazole: Yes it is true,  the dose of mebendazole  is 100 mg , once &amp; may repeat after 2 wks for pinworm infestation,  100 mg twice a day for 3 days for other forms of parasitic worm infestation. I hope that answers  your question.  Good luck
