Doubt it: Your body has a reasonable ability to tell you when you are hurting yourself by giving you pain. I don't know what is involved when you self sex, but if you have not had pain during or after  your past efforts I doubt it matters.

A person's height is influenced the most by their genetics (parents heights), nutrition (protein especially) and lack of repeated illness.

How done ?: You catch these illnesses by passing the germs to your face/mouth from contaminated fingers or by inhaling airborne droplets with the germs. The germs do not enter through your skin.  How you masturbate has no obvious connection to how these germs are acquired. Good regular hand washing  is one of the best ways of avoiding these illnesses.
