Xrays: X-rays are not the ideal test for evaluation of an abscess or cyst.  Soft tissue structures will better be visible using an ultrasound, ct scan or mri.

being sent for diagnostic mammo, u/s and biopsy, for 8mm x 6mm mass at 9 o'clock position left breast.  should i be worried?

The probability: of malignancy is based on various mammographic/sonographic characteristics, and is the basis for the BIRADS code at the bottom of the report.  Since biopsy was recommended, it is probably at least a BIRADS 4A(low suspicion,3-10% chance of maliganancy) up to BIRADS 5(&gt;95% chance).  Can't say much more without further details or images.  About 75% of all biopsies turn out benign.

can you tell me what to do if for last 6 months i've had a lot of discomfort in my left breast area. x-ray and mri with color and are normal.?

Speak with: your doctor.  There are many causes of pain in the breast region.  The normal Breast MRI means that, in your case,  breast cancer isn't likely one of them.

Don't worry about it: There are several possibilities, mostly in the mild abnormality range.  I think you should treat with benign neglect for a month or so.  The trouble with x-rays of the ribs is that they may be quite normal with soft tissue changes.  But the symptoms don't sound alarming to me.

breast u/s abnormal have a 7cm x 5cm x 1cm mass at 2o'clock in my left breast that's painful. biopsy results benign. i want it out, is that possible?

Yes: If you have pain and a mass, someone will remove it.  At 7 cm it can leave a significant deformity.  Consider going to see a plastic surgeon for reconstruction or at least evaluation prior.  Good luck.

Breast mass: A spiculated mass of that size in your breast requires further evaluation as soon as possible. Cancer is a diagnosis made by a tissue biopsy rather than appearance on an imaging test like a mammogram. The findings may look suspicious on a mammogram, but it's always better to consider all of the diagnostic possibilities and get the biopsy before jumping to any conclusions.

Fibrocystic change?: Any breast lump or thickening mass of tissue on the breast could be breast-cancer.  You need to be seen in person for an exam and possibly imaging.   You should be seen right away.  One in eight women in the USA get breast-cancer so don't take any chances.  There are other things such as fibrocystic change.   Best wishes!

Eval: Please don't attempt to remove a breast mass yourself. Recommend making an appointment with your physician who can assess and refer to a specialist as appropriate.

i had fibrosist change in left breast & now i'm pregnant of 20 weeks. today i felt some pain around this mass. is it normal&what should i do?

Hormonal changes: Normal to have some pain and tenderness in breasts during pregnancy. Don't panic. Try some tylenol (acetaminophen) and warm compress. If gets worse discuss with your obstetritian. Few   advils may help as well.
