Need diagnosis: The first step is to confirm the diagnosis and find out for sure what the mass is and if it is a cancer. Colon cancer almost always goes to the liver first, so if the liver is clear,  it's often possible to cure the condition with an operation to remove the primary mass.

See below: Ultrasound may evaluate the ovaries to better advantage when compared to ct. Occasional a small mass in the ovary may not be visible on ct. Also a ct study without contrast (dye) enhancement may not evaluate the ovaries well.

Renal mass: Did the previous report define the mass as solid or cystic or mixed? Did it enhance with contrast? Perhaps a repeat scan to determine if mass has changed. If larger or otherwise suspicious, a fine needle biopsy may be the next step, but ask the doc who ordered original ct what his/her opinion is & what your options are.

Stool can look mass: Could ahve been stool appearing as a mass. The colonoscopy looks directly into the colon and you take a prep to clean out the stool. Be sure to followup with your doctor.

Infection, Cancer, +: Infection, hemorrhage, tumors (benign and malignant (cancerous)) fluid and even fibrosis can have a similar appearance.  If it is mostly calcified, it is likely benign, old infection called a granuloma.  Comparison to older scans can help determine if it has grown.  The concern is whether or not it is cancer.  Recommend seeing a primary care provider, perhaps a pulmonologist consult and pet/ct.

Unsure: Difficult to know  for sure without seeing study.Adult polycystic kidney disease of usually involves both kidneys. No "focal mass: usually means no mass effect whether cyst or tumor. Polycystic kidneys do not fail until  middle age or later in life.Adult polycystic kidney disease is autosomal dominant, and commonly family history. Multicystic kidney usually causes nonfunctioning kidney from birth.

Difficult to say: without any other specific details.  Angiomyolipomas and cysts are common benign kidney masses.  You are somewhat young for renal cancer.  You can ask your doctor to explain, or post more specific details from the CT report.

Varies widely...: The sensitivity (how likely to be detected) of abdominal ct scans for abdominal masses varies widely depending on the type of abdominal mass and the abdominal ct technique. When both oral and intravenous contrast are used, the sensitivity is much higher (up to 90% for some masses). However, some masses are still difficult to detect and have lower sensitivity such as colonic and small bowel masses.
