Not adviseable: If you don"t know what you are doing you can do damage to the ear canal or the ear drum.

No.  The EPA prevent: The epa prevents the use of known carcinogens in home products of this type.  They are overprotective, so relax.  I don't personally like these products, so "i" absolutely have nothing to worry about!

are air wick plug ins unsafe during pregnancy? i asked my husband not to use them but he kept them plugged in anyway, i didnt realize it for weeks and kept getting headaches. 8 weeks preg.

Generally safe,: but always discuss with your doctor to be more sure. Headache is enough to stop using it.

No need: It might not help to heal faster. Follow up with your doctor to remove or repack as needed in your case (generally 24-48 hours). If there is increasing redness, pain or warmth in that area then follow up asap.

Wound abscess: What you are expressing is likely a mixture of fat cell necrosis, some pus, and serous exudate;  it must be extruded and cleaned out; lumpy nature likely indicates small collections within this wound; these should be cleaned out as well; it is time for the surgeon to examine this again; it can be probed, irrigated, and wicked again; a repeat culture is indicated, also. Please call your doc

i have my ear wick in since thursday, is it okay to take it out now on my own?

Yes: You put an ear wick in to remove the wax (cerumen) in the ear canal.  If it has not fallen out spontaneously then you can try to remove it on your own or have someone do it for you.  You do not usually need a doc to do it for you but if you are nervous see your doc.

when my ear wick was put in it hurt really bad. will it hurt when it's taken out?

No pain when removed: The wick was put in because you must have an outer ear infection with lot of swelling. the pain was because of infection and swelling. Wick will permit the pus to be drained out and reduce infection. When the infection is gone, the swelling will also be gone, opening the ear canal. The wick will automatically come out or will have to be taken out, but there should not be pain in either case.
