Well,: In medicine, blood in urine is the presence of red blood cells  in the urine, ranging from trace blood to gross blood in urine. It may be  benign, or it can be a sign that there is a kidney stone or a tumor in the urinary tract (kidneys, ureters, urinary bladder, prostate, and urethra). If white blood cells are found in addition to red blood cells, then it is a signal of urinary tract infection.

Confirming results : The presence of large leukocytes esterace levels in the urine indicates the presence of white blood cells in the urine.  However it is possible that the urine sample was contaminated with skin cells or that the results were by dipstick only.  Oftentimes it is helpful to get a repeat urinalysis with a microscopic exam to prove that blood and white cells are present and then other tests if needed

Urinalysis: relevance depends on the type of symptoms and specimen.  A cathed specimen should not have blood in it.  If this is a clean catch it is common for women to have some blood in their urine.  Kidney stones and urinary tract infection can cause you to have some blood in your urine.

Need follow-up: This is probably an incidental transitory finding, but why were you on sulfamethoxazol? Whatever was being treated may have been responsible. Nonetheless, once you are off everything this should be repeated. Blood in urine is not normal.
