Possibly: The general formula for' magic mouthwash ' is half liquid Benadryl (diphenhydramine) with half milk of magnesia.  The Benadryl (diphenhydramine) can be absorbed through the tissues in your mouth and cause drowsiness. Please consult your doctor and let them know you are having problems with this treatment.  Alternatives are available if you discuss them with your doctor or dentist.

To cure a toothache the infected tooth material has to be physically removed (remove decayed part of tooth, remove the root canal contents if infected, or remove the infected tooth).  Please call your dentist for an appointment for diagnosis and treatment.
