If a baby is too large for the head to pass through the woman's pelvis, a c-section is routine.Babies should not go beyond 42 wks because the risk of sudden death/stillbirth becomes unacceptably high.

Not necessarily: Second babies usually come quicker and with less problems during delivery than first babies.  There are always exceptions to this though.  If you have a history of a large baby and this one is smaller, your birth experience may be easier.  If you are prone to making large babies and this baby is big too, there is still a chance of difficulties at birth, such as shoulder dystocia and tears.

You and dad: Your baby's size is determined mostly by your and dads genetic codes and how they interact. Your baby's percentile means very little in the way of medical  risk unless the percentile is at either end of the growth curve. Being 60th percentile means being right in the middle of the pack - this is good news ! I suggest you talk to your OB and ask them the same questions, it's important !

11 wks post delivery: If you had a C-section, the "lump" is probably a hematoma, or stitch abscess.  If you had a normal delivery, this mass could be a hernia or a torn abdominal muscle.  See your OB physician for an exam. All of the above are easily treated.
