Homeopathy: Truly homeopathic medicines DON'T cause side effects.By this I mean classical homeopathy remedies made in homeopathic medical pharmacies, and prescribed after a careful case-taking by a trained homeopath. If instead you mean a botanical or nutritional supplement mistakenly called "homeopathic," side effects ARE possible. Homeopathic remedies can temporarily increase symptoms on the way to healing.

Not known: There are a great many "weight gain supplements" and "weight loss supplements" out there, being sold to people. It's a big industry. However, since they are not real medications and are not scientifically studied nor regulated by the fda, nobody really knows what the true effects and side effects are.

Yesw: Sure. Although designed to be given in very small doses, many have not been tested for safety. And if taken in large quantities, serious side effects may occur. Belladonna, a common ingredient in some homeopathic colic medications for babies, can cause death in high quantities.

No, but effects may:: With rare exceptions, homeopathic remedies are very safe and do not cause "side effects" but occasionally the effects of the medicines are an aggravation, which is a mild temporary worsening of pre-existing symptoms before you start feeling better. While this usually does not occur, when it does happen it is considered a sign that the remedy is having a positive effect on the patient.

my mother has chronic urticaria.she was prescribed predmet.now she has severe side effects and wishes to discontinue.will homeopathy be a good option?

Probably not: Predmet is Methylprednisolone which is a steroid and should be avoided if at all possible. There are many proven ways to treat chronic hives that don't involve steroids and are proven (unlike homeopathy).  An allergist or dermatologist comfortable with taking care of chronic hives can be a good resource.

Homeopathy: In general they have no side effects.  And most have not been shown to have any good effects either.  But if you need to spend money for things that have not been proven to work it is up to you.

Not approved "drug": Truly homeopathic "medications" are made by repeated dilutions, so that the ingredient is not really in the medication anymore (just the "essence" of it remains). That means there is no active ingredient left to cause any benefit. However, that also implies that the homeopathic "medicine" should be pretty harmless, unless some other non-homeopathic ingredients were added.

then tell me how should i take this.

No good data...: I did a quick literature search on dosing and uses of this particular plant remedy and the results I got were maddening. This plant apparently has explosive qualities, first used in magician's acts and for photography. It somehow made its way to homeopathy for use in everything from sore throat to "self-esteem" problems. There is no good research showing it is useful as a health aid.

i had consumed some amount of coffee in between a homeopathic treatment. some experiencing a couple side effects, what to do to get rid of them?

Coffee & homeopathy: In some people, coffee can antidote homeopathic remedies.  This may cause a resurgence of the symptoms you had before the remedy.  You may also have a sensitivity to caffeine, causing still other symptoms.  I suggest telling your homeopath what has happened so s/he can suggest what to do.  Sometimes repeating the remedy can get you back on track, but staying off coffee will make things smoother.

ive been using valsartan for hypertension reasons but had to stop because it causes me epididymitis, now i use  atorvastatin and its giving me vivid dreams. is there anything better i can use with less side effects ?

Medication : You can speak to a doctor about changing your medication. I remember and a patient who had 20 medications on her allergy list, but when you continue to ask her details about the side effects you come to realize she did not want any medication because she believed that all medication is bad for her.
