No BEST!: If you have lupus, see a reputable rheumatologist.  That doctor will guide you in the treatment of this terrible and chronic disease.  You may need to see several physicians with lupus. It affects multiple parts of the body.  Treatment may be varied and may change from time to time.  If there are concerns, get a second or third opinion perhaps from a tertiary referral center.  Best 2 u in 2-0-1-2!

Probably yes: There is no reason why Lisinopril cannot be used to treat high blood pressure in patients diagnosed with lupus nephritis.  In fact, it may be the drug of choice in lupus patients who are also spilling protein in their urine.  It may be need to be used with some caution in those patients with more advanced cases of lupus-related kidney disease as it may contribute to high levels of potassium.

Ok : Ok you have lupus ! if all the criteria for lupus are meet, your diagnosis is there and you are right . Your doctors might want to have a biopsy for other reasons. What kind of biopsy we are talking about , is that a skin or a kindney o what kind of biopsy that might be important from the point of view of cocumentatioon , staging or treatment desicions. I need more information , and may be you also need more info. There are many new treatments and many desicions to make and many things that are yet not resolved . We cannot compare the treatments we have for lupus with the treatments we might use for a pneumonia or for diabetes.Or colestherol

Steroids, antimalari: Localized lupus can be treated with topical medications. Systemic lupus may need oral steroids , antimalarials such as Plaquenil (hydroxychloroquine) or quinacrine. In resistant cases Methotrexate or rarely thalidomide.

Many: For ra: tnf inhibitors: enbrel, remicade, humira, simponi, (golimumab) cimzia. Other new drugs include: kineret,  orencia, rituxan, actemra,  and the newest is zeljanz.

For lupus: benlysta. Is the newest...Cellcept is not new but is being used more frequently.  Rituxan and Orencia are sometimes used off label ( not fda approved) for certain lupus symptoms. 
Many new drugs for both diseases are in development.

Accepted Answer

No sun, some Rx: Sun protection, topical steroids. If no better in 2-4 weeks, cortisone injections into the lesions or topical calcineurin inhibitors. If still no better in 2-4 more weeks, oral hydroxychloroquine, an anti-malarial medication. There are even further treatment for refractory cases but the above usually works.
