Its genrally hard to: see your lunate, and if it were really sticking out it would be traumatically  dislocated and you wouldnt be casually typing questions.  But is there a ganglion cyst, a tenosynovial mass, a prominent carpal boss, a tumor ( typically benign) See a hand specialist for an accurate evaluation

Probably not!: Your radius and ulna are the 2 bones in your forearms and they are normally of different lengths, so to say that one is shorter than the other is a nonsensical statement. That's like telling you that your parents are older than you are. Obviously true but irrelevant to your concern! Complex wrist injury: usually associated with other injuries , ligamental tare of corpus ( wrist joint ) May take 6 months or more , may even need surgery , repair of ligamental tare , pin(s) to stabilize . Speak to your orthopedic surgeon .

It is significant.: Flattening of the lunate bone in the wrist is suggestive of lack of blood supply to the bone with the potential for the bone to develop significant breakdown or necrosis.
In turn one can have significant pain in the wrist with extension of the fingers and wrist. I would strongly recommend an Orthopedic or hand specialist follow up. In many cases, surgical correction is the only alternative.

Mild arthritis: Cystic changes can be incidental, or the beginning of the develpoment of a ganglion cyst.  Unless there is severe pain, this is usually  nothing to be worried about.

Occupational Therapy: Most likely. You should see an occupational therapist/hand specialist for an evaluation and exercise/therapy plan.

Varies: The term fraying is not usually used to describe a bone as much as soft tissue structures such as a tendon or ligament.  In general, abnormalities of the lunate bone are typically either post traumatic or from an inflammatory/arthritic condition.  Treatment is based primarily on the specific diagnosis.
