i'm 25 and i have a throat 'lump' on the right side where my tonsil used to be. not painful, but i can feel it when i swallow. what could it be?

ENT Consult: I suggest that you see an ear nose and throat specialist for a thorough evaluation.  Without being an expert in the field and not being able to clinically  examine you in person, no one can give you an accurate answer.

R/O CRYPT TRAPPING: Tonsilar crypt trapping can cause chronic tonsillitis  you need to have throat cultured and a full panel of blood work.  Empiric antibiotics Also ENT CONSULT re tonsillectomy . The firm external sensation may be a secondary enlarged lymph node.

two lumps appear farther back against wall of throat than tonsils were but similar looking. one is slightly larger, both very painful and red?

See a doctor : You should get tested for possible strep or anything else. See your PCP and ENT if need be. Hope this helps.

Could be strep. : Most cases of acute pharyngitis in adults are caused by respiratory viruses or Streptococcus bacteria. In the presence of fever, lymphadenopathy, swollen tonsils, and absence of cough, it is worth being checked for strep throat and starting antibiotics if positive. 
If one is having difficulty swallowing and managing one’s secretions, or having any respiratory distress, it is a medical emergency.

i have a small painful lump about the size of a marbel by where my left tonsils should be. that and my left ear hurts when i swallow. and i mild cough?

Gargle: Probably nothing serious.  Warm salt water gargles 5 minutes every 2-3 hours.  Try and pop your ears (hold your nose and blow.. it will NOT harm you) Give this about 2 days maximum...no improvement see your practitioner.

Sore throat: This needs to be seen and diagnosed by a physician. Either viral or bacterial, and only an appropriate exam can differentiate. Without being able to examine you there is no way we can help.

recurring red lumps/ulcers that cover throat and back of tongue + lumps either side of the tonsil. very painful, i have good oral hygiene and i'm not b12 deficient. i gargle salt water when it's more severe. what could it be and why is it happening?

: Something is causing this local inflammation and needs to be examined for proper diagnosis and management. Pl see an ENT asap.. You are doing the right thing by gargling. Hope you feel better

tired, mild body aches and a mild sore throat. oval, pea-sized red lump in my right tonsil. slightly bloody and has some white. slightly painful when touched. i do get tonsil stones regularly. should i have it checked now or watch it for a few days?

Tonsil lesion: This could be an inflamed piece of tonsil tissue or lymphatic tissue ( lymphoid hyperplasia).  It also could be an inflamed stone.  Give it a few days, then get it checked if persists.

i have a flesh coloured lump on my left tonsil. my lymph nodes are slightly up on that side and are painful. the inside of my ear hurts. i'm terrified i have tonsil cancer. (hypochondriac here). i had the hpv vaccine, yet i was diagnosed with hpv. ?

Dr. can check throat: Throat symptoms can be from a strep throat infection (antibiotics are needed), a cold or influenza (antibiotics usually not used), or from some other cause such as allergies or irritants. Usually, a person sees the doctor if the sore throat is bothersome, recurrent, or doesn't go away quickly (mainly to check for strep throat). Throat lozenges and Tylenol (acetaminophen) or Motrin can lessen pain.

Tooth infection: Often abcesses of the maxillary teeth demonstrate sweeling in the palate. It is most common in the back area of the mouth. Clogged mucous and salivary glands can also form bumps. Bruises and viral vesicles are also posible explanations. Cancer can also cause lumps on the palate though much less frequent than the prior reasons.
