Allergies?: Sounds like springtime allergies. Consider some sort of antihistamine such as loratidine for a trial for a week and see if that helps. If not, see your primary care provider for a more complete evaluation. Hope this helps!

See your doctor: Problems like these can only be correctly handled by your doctor in person.  He/she needs to listen to you, perform an examination and possibly run labs or other tests. That's the only way he/she can find out what's going on and what to do about it.

Pinguecula: This is a normal structure which the eye makes to defend itself against dust and wind.  It is present next to the cornea (the front window) medially and laterally in the open space.It is more prominent during red eye conditions because it has few vessels, and so gets highlighted when the rest of the eye is red as it is paler. It does not need treatment.

one eye has red eye in photos, but the other eye never does. could this be an indication of a medical problem?

Yes: The red eye side is probably normal.  The other side may have something blocking the view, or is turned in or out side, or have a major vision problem.  I assume this is a child.  This requires evaluation very soon by a pediatric ophthalmologist (or a regular ophthalmologist if an adult).  Don't delay.

Try hot compress: Held on the eyes for at least 10 to 15 minutes several times daily. You can also try using artificial tears over the counter 2 to 4 times a day. If the symptoms persist you may need to be seen by an eye doctor to be prescribed medication. Good luck!

See your surgeon: Although the medicated eye drops used in cataract surgery can cause red, irritated eyes, there can be other causes for your symptoms. Allergies are the main cause, as well as conjunctivitis.  Even if the vision is good and there is no eye pain, you should see your surgeon to be sure.  You are far enough out from surgery for this not to be related, but it is a good idea to have it checked out.

i wear contacts have eyelid swelling and slight red eye.  some pain when pressure is applied. what could be the problem and what should i do?

May be an infection: If you are still wearing the lenses, put some rewetting drops or artificial tears in and remove the lenses. Sometimes these could be symptoms of lens overwear. If there is continued pain, redness, blurred vision, discharge, or light sensitivity, see an ophthalmologist immediately because this could be a corneal ulcer. Don't wear the lenses for at least a day, even if the symptoms resolve.

Cataract: Ask your doctor if it is ok to use muro 128 drops to reduce swelling.  Sometimes, the frequency of steroid drops needs to be increased.

Red Eye: By red eye, i think you are referring to pinkeye, or viral conjunctivitis.  This is usually caused by a strain of adenovirus.  Pinkeye usually resolves completely in 2-4 weeks, and it does not interfere with conception.
