SEE SOMEONE: Lipomas can get large and are very characteristically soft feeling. That one sounds quite large and can cause you some irritation. Go get it checked out and removed before it gets larger.

Simple biopsy: You have a lump for three years.  You should go to your doctor and have it evaluated.  A simple excision or biopsy could tell you what it is.  At a young age you want to make sure it is nothing.  You could then stop worrying.  Hope this helps.

Varies: There are a number of possibilities and I would not hesitate to be seen for it.  There is a condition in which a bone outgrowth from either the scapula or rib can cause what you are describing, but there are other causes as well.  An exam and appropriate studies can determine the cause.

i have a big size lump under my right shoulder blade. at first it wasn't giving me any problems, now it is hard for me to lay on my back or on my right side because it hurts. i can barely raise my arm for a long period without it hurting.

Go see ur FamilyDoc: Not much I can do online except to tell you to go see your Family Doc to get a diagnosis &amp; appropriate treatment. Perhaps it's a sebaceous cyst that can be drained. Or maybe a lipoma that needs to be removed. I hope it's not a pus pocket. Regardless, given that it's affecting you, that means it's time for you to see in-person care. Good luck!

Muscle or blood leak: Could be that you ruptured a small capillary (blood vessel)  or stretched a muscle into prolonged contraction and it knotted up, like a trigger point

See PCP : 'lumps' on shoulder blades could be several things but what u should do is see your physician. Fatty benign tumors( lipomas) are common here.If u fell, an organizing hematoma may be forming. Osteochondromas are not uncommon on the scapula. All this is speculation; see your pcp w/ possible referral to orthopedist. Best of luck!
