? Hematoma: You may have accumulation of blood under the outer lining of the bone, subperiosteal hematoma. If the swelling does not subside in a couple of weeks you should see your doctor for further evaluation.

Lump: Could be something called erythema nodosum. You need to be checked out by a doctor.

Haglunds deformity?: You might have a deformity known as a haglund's deformity or "pump bump: - it a protrusin of bone to the back of the heel. 
If this is it, you would want to try and wear backless shoes until the pain goes away, you can ice it as well. If it is a constant pain that doesn;t seem to ever go away you may want to contemplate surgical excision. (assuming this is what you have.).

Ganglion cyst?: Difficult to say what it could be without seeing, but it could be a ganglion cyst. Thisis a tumor or swelling on top of a joint or the covering of a tendon. It looks like a spongy sac (cyst). Inside the cyst is a thick, sticky, clear, colorless, jellylike material. A physical exam is often needed to diagnose a ganglion cyst. See your doctor for evaluation & treatment options.

Cyst?: Usually lumps on tendons are either cysts or scar type tissue.  If it is bothering you then I would see your doctor.

It could be : It may very well be a ganglionic cyst/ganglion.  This is a common location for something like this.  But there are other bony and soft tissue cyst/masses that could less commonly account for this.  I would encourage you to have a physician evaluate this lesion to make sure it's not something more concerning.

Rest, elevate &amp; ice: Usually, following a strain of a ligament, the ankle needs to be compressed, apply ice, rest and elevation is recommended.

Ligament: Most ankle injuries are ligaments, however you can tear a tendon but it is not usually referred to as a torn ankle tendon. Depending on the severity of the tear sometimes they do not heal, if after 1 week there is no improvement of you can't put weight on your foot-see a doctor.

Yes: Mri is a good diagnostic tool, but not always exact.  Therefore radiologists and physicians will sometimes see different things when it is close to what the diagnosis could be.  Your physician will have the advantage of having your foot in front of him to confirm the MRI results with his clinical findings.  The radiologist doesn't have this luxury.
