Eustachian  Tube: The eustachian tube is also called the pharyngotympanic tube & it extends from the middle ear to the wall of the nasopharynx.

: It cannot  be diagnosed without an exam. It could be trapped air, movement of gullet etc. If persists pl see an ENT doc

Listen to your body: Something is irritating your throat. It is possible that you are having reflux into the pharynx which is causing the irritation. Doing things to prevent reflux may help such as eating small meals, and avoiding irritating foods or pulling down a hiatal hernia.  A chronic post nasal drip could irritate your throat. Avoid dairy, wheat, and sugar and drinking warm liquids like home made chicken broth.

If lymph node: is less than 1cm and recent onset, probably no.  If it is larger or persistent, you should show it to your doctor.

Tight Neck Muscles: Yes.  This is quite common. Pay attention to your sitting posture during the day and avoid straining the neck muscles. Try an otc "heat" creme to the tight neck muscles and a short course of any decongestant, assuming you are not on blood pressure medications.

: Normal people can often perceive a click/pop of their Eustachian tube with any jaw movement that straightens the tube. If allergies/cold or other factors have led to tube closure, the pop may not occur. There is little you can do to modify this tube activity.

i have had a knot behind my right ear and ear pain over a year been to the ent had normal ct and mri, had tube put in no help also have lump in throat?

Ear pain: Many times its actually a muscular knot back there causing pain and imbalances because of pinched nerves.  Try massage therapy and u will be amazed how much better u will feel.

Highly unlikely: There has to be major pressure fluctuations such as diving for eustachian dysfunction (etd) to cause imbalance.  Chronic disequilibrium is present during movement when there is vestibular weakness as identified on the vng.  Vision is used to compensate but shouldn't change. Ear fullness can be from etd, méničre's, tmj, hydrops, reflux.  Balance retraining helps when one ear has balance weakness.
