Pad around the lump: A "lump" on the bottom of the foot can be any number of conditions. Depending on where it is located and how big it is will dictate how painful it is. Wearing a soft insole may decrease pressure but you should probably have your podiatrist take a look at it.

arch of right foot itched terribly for 2 days. now there is a quarter size lump on the arch of my foot that is painful to touch and swelling as well in bottom of foot. causes???

Itch and lump: Itching followed by the appearance of a lump suggests an allergic reaction(angioedema) or an insect bite. These should not be very tender to the touch,however. See your Physician or a podiatrist if symptoms persist.

See Podiatrist : Morton's neuroma involves a thickening of the tissue around one of the nerves leading to your toes. This can cause a sharp, burning pain in the ball of your foot. Your toes also may sting, burn or feel numb.ther are also other things such as calluses,etc

i woke up with a dime sized re lump on side/bottom of foot. a little sore when stepping down but nothing too terrible. later in the day turned purple. i cant see any bite marks and it doesn't itch. ideas?

: Lesion occurred during sleep is likely an insect bite although you do not see the bite mark. Without symptom I only advise observation. You only need to see a healthcare provider if lesion gets bigger or you become symptomatic.

stitches out 7 weeks following injury to heel but despite physio still have pain up back of heel and sole of foot. should i ignore or keep walking?

Don't ignore: Hard to say without more info about your injury and level of pain.  Can take 6-12 months to heal a heel (pun intended).  Early weightbearing and range of motion are important steps to recovery.  That being said, it's probably a good idea to check in with the treating physician to ensure healing is progressing according to schedule.

That depends: On cause of blister and medical history. For example if your diabetic - see a foot doc right away and dont tend to by yourself. If healthy and an isolated blister with a sterile instrument after skin cleansed you can pierce the roof to drain the liquid. Do not remove the blister just drain then apply bandage and allow to dry out.

Nerve: Most common causes are:

herniated disk causing pressure on one of the nerves going to the  foot (radiculopathy). Tarsal tunnel syndrome also can cause these kinds oif symptoms.

See a neurologist or an orthopedic surgeon for evaluation.

Get a biopsy....: It is not normal for a mole to be green.  A simple biopsy will determine if it is anything to be more concerned about.

6 year old daughter, oval shaped potential nevus on sole of foot. def smaller than 7m, it is symmetric, a lot more parallel furrow looking rather than parallel ridged. just a hypothetical answer based off this info will be helpful. benign sounding?

: Any strange looking skin lesion or one that stands out as very different from other skin lesions on one's body warrants an examination by a dermatologist. I think this obviously pertains to your child's sole lesion. This will also give you peace of mind.
