Possibly lipoma: Could be a lipoma which is a totally benign fatty tumor in the layer under the skin. Other possibilities include hernia especially if you have an incision in the area. Recommend you see your doctor for a simple physical exam to help determine what it is.

i have a movable, painless lump about six inches to the right of my navel within my stomach fat. it is very movable, and firm. what might it be?

Probably a lipoma: If there is no history  of trauma to that area, it is probably a benign lipoma or a cyst.  If it asymtomatic and is not growing, it should be seen by the same surgeon or internist in 4 to 6 months.  If it grows, it should be removed by total excision.

i have what looks like little lumps of fat on my stomach. not lipomas. looks like cellulite. had baby 6 months ago. what is this?

Needs examination: An examination would be needed to determine what the cause of these bumps could be: skin laxity, hernias, rectus muscle diastasis, or other causes

Fatty Lumps?: Abdominal "pouch" is a collection of defuse fatty deposits vs the elbow fat most likely is a lipoma. Best to see your PMD for referral to PS for evaluation and surgical options.

Lipoma: Sounds like they may be lipomas which are benign encapsulated accumulations of fat. Many people have them and they do not require any intervention unless they are so large they are cosmetically unappealing or pressing on a nerve and causing pain. An examination by your provider can confirm this is the case. Very rarely is any additional testing needed to make this diagnosis.

Different options: The abdomen has a lot of things in it both in the skin and below it.  Sweat glands, hair follicles and skin cysts as well as lymph nodes, fatty tissue, vessels, tendons and other things.  Is the lump growing, inflamed, painful, painless, draining, recurrent or constant, moveable or fixed...?  Each of these (and many more) will provide your doc the answers as to what it is and what needs to be done.

Simple vs serious: Our bodies always have things that grow and change. Skin, fat, muscle, lymph nodes,  bones, can change shape, get larger, more prominent due to many factors. The vast majority are not cancer but simply unusual growths like fatty tumors, cysts, skin tags, moles, etc.  Most cause no symptoms and can be watched.  If they cause symptoms or change colors, bleed, bruise or hurt, then see your doctor.

Lump: Is the lump tender and or red.  Differential is abscess, lipoma, sebaceous cyst.
