Concerned to a degre: Two common things that come to mind are an enlarged lymph node or more remotely a hernia.  If is is painful, or if it's been there for more than a day or so, i would seek care by your family doctor or urgent care to ease my mind.

Lymph nodes "taste" the lymph for anything bad  like bacteria/viruses/cancers, etc. When it detects a problem, it alerts the immune system and your body reacts.  They enlarge in response to the inflammation they create when they react.  They shrink when all is well.

Sweat glands, hair follicles and skin cysts as well as lymph nodes, fatty tissue, vessels, tendons and other things.  Is the lump growing, inflamed, painful, painless, draining, recurrent or constant, moveable or fixed...?  Each of these (and many more) will provide your doc the answers as to what it is and what needs to be done.

Depends: Your hair may be ingrown because it is curly and that may cause the problem.  Other causes of bumps in the groin area may have to do with the lymph nodes and infections.  See your doctor if  it is larger than an ingrown hair.

See a doctor but: it sounds like it could be an inguinal hernia. Other possibilities include abscess (infection), swollen lymph node, fungal infection, or varicocele/hydrocele.
