my lower centre lip has been doing nothing but twitch all day. its like it has its own pulse. can i do anything? is this a problem?

Twitching: Multiple causes requiring medical evaluation: stress, anxiety, electolyte imbalance, low calcium, low magnesium...The list goes on. Make sure you are taking a good multivitamin like centrum ( or kirkland).

Need more info: Is this patch inside of your mouth? How long has it been present? How large is it.  Is it draining.

Not sure: All arteries generate a pulse -- the blood flow through organs and throughout your body. A pulse that you can feel that is not painful is probably normal. If you have a painful pulse at your temples, this needs immediate help (temporal arteritis). If you are feeling palpitations, this also should prompt medical attention and additional workup.

why do i keep feeling my heart beat in my lower lip? i have had a cold for about a week and the last couple days, every minute or two i feel a heartbeat pulse in my lower lip. the beat also feels strangely harder than normal, but pulse is normal rate?

: You're feeling the pulse in your labial artery. It's normal. Google "labial artery" to see why it's easy to feel your pulse there.

Muscular vs nerve:  this could be muscle, tendon, or maybe the bones. Your description sounds more like it's muscular, but your physician can help clarify whether it is one of these.you can try heat, massage, cold, and see if any of these help your symptoms. Your physician can help clarify what it is.

Hard to say...: Especially if the lips look normal.  This is not a common complaint.  It could be due to overuse of some of the lip plumper type products out there nowadays.   If this is severe or really bothering you i would mention it to your primary doctor.

Normal: Unless it is unusually strong, pulses are present throughout body. If it concerns you, see an ENT doc or oral surgeon for evaluation.

65 y/o passed away unexpectedly. when found lips were blue, slight pulse in wrist. emt couldnt bring back. could this be heart attack? would lips turn blue?

: Yes. That is central cyanosis, a sign of grave insufficiency of circulation.  Cardiovascular collapse was most likely caused by either a massive heart attack ( acute myocardial infarction) or cardiac arrest caused by ventricular tachycardia terminating in ventricular fibrillation or terminal cardiac standstill.

Sounds like: Unbalanced activity of the autonomic nervous system.  The controls of this nervous system are in the lower part of the brain and are highly sensitive to deficiency of vitamin b, particularly vitamin b1. Commonest cause is poor diet, particularly the sweet stuff.

It depends,,,: It depends on the circumstances when you feel this.  If it is after exercise or other strenuous activity, then it is likely a normal reaction, especially if it subsides.  If it happens at rest and there is no associated issue, like stress, etc. then it might be still normal, but, given your history, either way you should see your Dr.for an exam and tests to be sure there is no underlying issue.
