i did my pap smear test on the 29th of may 2015 and since then ive been experiencing some lower back pain on my right side especially when i bend. should i get worried? should i get myself checked?

Back pain: You were on the exam  table for 5 minutes at most. Your back should not hurt from the exam.

Not usual: This would not have been caused by the pap smear procedure, but could have flared up a muscle spasm causing something like sciatica from the position you were in to get the pap smear. Try soaks in a warm tub and see a doctor if it is not getting better soon.

Try to relax: I know it's easier said then done but remember that there are many causes for low back pain other than cervical cancer.  For your age advanced cervical cancer is rare.  I know that you have already had your Pap smear completed and are just awaiting the results and that's fine but I would make sure that you aren't ignoring the many other possibilities that could be contributing to your symptoms.

14 days before: An easy way to remember ovulation is that it occurs 14 days before your next cycle. If you know how many days between periods then you can calculate an approximate ovulation date. We are not able to know whether or not a certain individual ovulates early or late during any one menstrual cycle.

History not helpful: Your symptoms are too diffuse in time and place to be pathognomonic of any single disease. A hundred different scenarios could match your symptoms. See your doctor personally for exam.

Dr may need to check: A doctor can check to see if there is a medical issue, if a woman has mild menstrual-related symptoms. Many women have some variation of their menstrual symptoms on occasion. Some women feel normal after a few days, but others do have bothersome symptoms and follow-up with their doctors. Some symptoms are from changes in hormone levels. A pregnancy test is reliable the week after missing a period.

: That symptom is not consistent with cervical cancer, especially your last PAP smear was normal. Spotting is not uncommon at your age; however, if you experience frequent vaginal bleeding, you should see your GYN doctor. Pelvic/low back pain is probably from sacroiliac joint.

Not likely cervical: cancer. Could be nerve or muscular irritation, could be vascular issues. An exam with your doctor is the best route to sorting this out.  Pap smear, every 3 to 5 years, is very protective against developing actual cervical cancer.
