Usually: White cell elevation is due to infection both bacteria and viral or due steroids but could hematological proliferative disorders

I amnot aware: I am not aware of low  white blood count  and thyroid diseases . Thyroid disease is mainly affect body metabolism including cardiovascular , neuro -cognitive , musculoskeletal , vision . It affects sodium level . However , when there is a condition called thyroid storm which is life threatening condition , white blood cell can be elevated.

Yes: Periodontal disease is an acute or chronic infection of the bone and gums supporting your teeth.  White blood cells function to fight infection, and could very well be higher due to periodontal infection.

What Symptoms?: How high is your white cell count? What if any symptoms do you have? Do you have fever? Have you had unintended weight loss? If answer to all of these is no, you may not have any disorder. If you have symptoms, it would be prudent to see a doctor.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form.  Drink enough water daily so that your urine is mostly colorless.
Practice safe sex.

Usually bacterial: It's usually a bacterial illness that causes the symptoms you describe. But this can include anything form sinus infections, tonsillitis, ear infections, pneumonia, infection in the blood, urinary tract infections, appendicitis, meningitis, skin abcesses... The list goes on and on. You need a thorough assessment of associated symptoms and a physical exam to try and pinpoint your condition.

PID: As a general rule both the WBC and the ESR would be elevated with pid.

: Not usually. Could there be an enlarged submandibular salivary gland instead of a lymph node?  Does your ENT specialist follow you for a persistent enlarged lymph node and has a biopsy been recommended or has the size been stable for years?

Several ways: White blood cells are created by the bone marrow, so anything that suppresses bone marrow affects white blood cells. Some viral illnesses such as mono can do it, as well as an overwhelming bacterial infection. Some children naturally have low white cell counts. Others have genetic cycles where the white count gets very low. Occasionally a bone marrow disease such as leukemia is responsible.

Leukopenia: A low white cell count can be caused by many things. Some people have low white cells due to a medication they are taking. Others are born with it. Others develop it because of dangerous conditions such as leukemia, viral infection, or autoimmune disease. Please consult with a hematologist to determine what form of leukopenia you have so that an appropriate treatment can be given (if necessary).
