No: Being skinny, or low hb a1c does not explain your refractive errors in the eye. It would be prudent for you to exercise and eat some protein rich foods like beans, lentils, legumes, nuts and lean meats.

Bad: High fasting blood sugars is bad and usually associated with high hba1c levels.
But very low levels may be harmful (say less than 6).

i heard that cinnamon low hyperglycemia & hba1c so my mom is taking 1 mug everyday before eating (from 1 month ago) so is it good with the medicines ?

Cinnamon can help to: keep glucose levels balance.  Your mom needs to let her doctor know that she is doing that because it may affect the medication she takes.  Her doc may want to lower it.  Peace and good health.

u get tired after 2 min of physical activity.  i get tired after talking for 5 min.  is it due to my hba1c 7%? low mcv and mch? all other tests are in range.  please advise.  thanks

Maybe...: Maybe related, especially the low MCV.  Did you receive any explanation for that abnormal lab?  That means your red blood cells on average are smaller than normal which can happen in anemias.  I would suggest a visit to the Internist or a virtual consult.  Good luck. Dr. C

No minumum: Hb a1c levels are dependent on average blood glucose level and red cell life span. There is no minimum for a healthy person but 17 mmoles suggests shortned red cell life span. Do you bleed excessively during your periods? What is your hb level? You may wish to consult your doctor to check these items.

Good for you: The ranges are set to include most but not all healthy folks. I would not be at all concerned -- in fact, as a lab physician / pathologist, i'd urge you simply to ignore any lab that's not clearly out of kilter unless there's a specific reason for concern.

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without taking additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor and discuss if you may be depressed. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Start with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity as tolerated.  Wish you good health!

Metabolic syndrome: This is caused by Insulin resistance. Lose 20 lbs, eat more protein, less carbohydrates. An a!c of 8 is poor controlled diabetes. This needs to be treated aggressively, to prevent diabetic complications.

May not be needed: Your magnesium level is just below the lower limit of normal and may be your normal, If other parameters are okay and you do not have any neuro-muscular symptoms, it is not a cause for concern. Eating a normal mixed diet will provide sufficient magnesium to correct the level.

i continued to eat ice cream but no soda or candy and my hba1c was 5.6 and glucose was 83! i'm thinking about going high fat low carb! should i?

Don't focus on this: You've got anxiety and a history of obsessive-compulsive stuff. You give no history of diabetes. Like most young adults and all physically healthy people, you can eat what you want without your blood sugar going out of control. Devoting emotional energy to food choices will rob you of the important stuff -- building relationships and achieving high-level physical fitness. That's REAL health.
