See a Nephrologist: It is important to check if there is any significant proteinuria and/or hematuria; also to note any risk factors for chronic kidney disease like hypertension, diabetes, chronic nsaids use or others.  Probably best to see a nephrologist.

GFR and dehydration: You can have a low GFR due to dehydration and the figure of 85 ml/min is an estimated gfr. You did not mention your bun, sodium, chloride or creatinine and that would have been helpful in determining if you were really dehydrated. Ask your doctor to order a 24 hour urine for creatinine clearance and protein and that will tell you exactly what your GFR is, actually not estimated.

Kidney level: Gfr stands for glomerular filtration rate. It is an estimate of the total kidney function. Hi GFR is normally not a problem. It can occur normally in young patients, and may be elevated in early stages of diabetic nephropathy.

Kidney dysfunction: The kidney filters blood in order to draw out waste/urine.  Your GFR (glomerular filtration rate) is a bit low, but not urgently low. Whether this is an acute (aki) or chronic (ckd) problem depends more upon you medical history and the original indication for obtaining this test.  The physician who ordered it is better equipped to make an interpretation beyond this level.

Context: Is critical as well as dynamics. Isolated values cannot be interpreted in a meaningful way otherwise. The values you mention would not be acted upon unless clear indication clinical or non clinical of a trend. Your PCP has the best 360 view of your situation and should be involved in the conversation.

Kidney and Liver T: Egfr (normal >60), creatinine, bun/cr ratio are all lab values to suggest how the kidney function is, ast is an enzyme secreted by the liver, if its elevated there is something wrong with the liver (it varies from mild to severe). Check with your doctor or mentor about the normal values and the abnormal ones.

hi i have been for a blood test and my gfr was 75 and the dr notes said pregnancy or kidney infection i have done three pregnancy tests all being negative i am not sure what to do?

"GFR of 75" ?: The glomerular filtration rate fo 75 is low normal, and may reflect dehydration at age 28.  Early pregnancy will not generally alone reduce one's "GFR".  See your physician for clarification of his/her treatment plan.
