IT CAN: It can but you have to know how low your blood sugar is and what is causing it if you are not diabetic
if you are diabetic you may need some adjustment in your meds
but you should check your blood sugar before you blame your nausea to low blood sugar as there are other causes of nausea in the morning.

i took a nap & i woke up dizzy i measured blood glucose level it was 42.i took sugar, but does this means that i have hypoglycemia awareness? & shouldn't my body wake me up at level of 60?

: The more time your blood sugar gets low, the less your body is aware that it is low. If you have diabetes, that is a problem when your body is not aware that it is low.

If : If you have diabetes, certain medications can cause low sugar. Low sugar is considered below 70. Treatment with 4-6 ounces of fruit juice or regular pop will help. You can also take 3 glucose tablets. But it is important to know why your sugar went low. You may need an adjustment in your medications. See my blog site to learn more about drugs that cause and do not cause low sugar. Notify your doctor so he can reduce your medication or change you to  a better drug.

Rare disorder: Symptoms include nervousness, sweating, hunger, anxiety, blurred vision, fatigue, fast heart rate, etc.  -- however unless you have diabetes and are on Insulin or other medication, have renal or liver disease, cancer or prior stomach surgery -- then true hypoglycemia never occurs in human beings. If it a very frequently and incorrectly made diagnosis.

No: In my 35 years of practice, I have never seen a case of reactive hypoglycemia.  The disorder doesn't exist, if you're overweight the symptoms are a natural response to your glucose level returning to normal. A glucose tolerance test (if you've had one) is not and never will be a valid diagnostic test for hypoglycemia. Don't waste your money o GTT or any fad diets of treatments. Lose wt if heavy.

Diet suggestion: Reactive hypoglycemia can be seen at this age. Important to offer complex carbohydrates/protein in small volumes six times a day. If overweight or strong family history diabetes consult her MD for lipoprotein subclass testing for insulin resistance syndrome.

No: A blood sugar of 7.8 to 11 is considered prediabetic. Your readings were normal.

: Normal no fasting glucose levels for a non diabetic is 80-140. A desired.glucose after a meal for the diabetic patient is under 180 while a good reading for a random blood glucose is 125 or lower.
