How low?: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, low ALT is usually of no clinical significance. If you do not have any symptoms and other lab tests are okay, there is no cause for concern.

Low ALT, but normal : Normal value for alt and ast differs in various lab centers.  As long as your alt value within that range, it is considered normal. However, alt value also depends on age, gender, ethnicity, body weight,  timing of blood drawn etc therefore, someone may have lower than others, but within normal range. As long as it is within range set by lab, it is considered normal.

41 year old female and i have low alt and ast levels.  and recent ultrasound shows spots on my liver.  what does this mean?

Liver "spots" are: very common, and many times they are benign but without seeing the images I cannot make a diagnosis. Not a concern: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that,  low ALT and alkaline phosphatase are not a cause for concern,

Not to me: That does not sound like liver disease to me, but you can never be sure.

Often with liver disease, lab tests can be misleading.  But it is common for the ALT to be high during liver damage, for albumin to be low when liver function is poor, and for platelets to be low when the liver is struggling.  These are just guidelines though.

wbc mildly low, alt mildly elevated. blood sugar issues hypoglycemia, increased spider veins, sensitivity to heat and the sun causing blotchy skin. intolerance to a lot of foods mostly carbohydrates. cold hands and feet.  autoimmune problem?

what could cause high bilirubin (2.1 (t)/0.4 (d)/1.7(i)) but low ast/alt (11/9)? i'm going to bring up the results with my dr but my appt isn't for a while and i'm just wondering if i should try to see her sooner or if it's something that can wait.

Yes, you can wait for your appointment. Nevertheless it is very important to determine why the indirect bilirrubin is elevated.
This could be caused by liver, spleen or blood problems and needs further investigation.

Anemia : It is impossible to interpret these findings without seeing all of your lab results, but the fact that your hematocrit is low means you are anemic and should be investigated by your doctor. Good luck.
