See below: Low albumin per se would not cause death. There is a very small number of near normal people with congenital absence of albumin. It is the cause of low albumin, e.g., cirrhosis, nephrotic syndrome, malabsorption or malnutrition that would be the cause of death.

Liver impairment,,,: Not all these symptoms may fit but the high ast and alt and low Albumin and possibly the low platelet count indicate deterioration of liver function.  You've also got cirrhosis of the liver which practically leads to end stage liver disease in time so it's clear that the liver is impaired.  Your medications have Insulin resistance/type 2diabetes as a side effect which would explain your thirst.

Albumin infusion and a diuretic would help, and you would need prescription for that. However, that would only be a temporary measure and the underlying cause needs to be addressed.
