: It is important to have a full clearance physical before entering any diet program. Inappropriate dieting can adversely affect many organ systems. Please see your GP or an Internist now for exam and lab tests to set a baseline and to assure that what you are doing is not harmful. Don't go it alone.

Engage in regular aerobic exercise (i.e., running, swimming, nordic track, bicycling, kickboxing, walking, cross country skiing, hiking, etc.).

Weight Loss: Stretch marks happen when your skin stretches.  If you're losing weight then the skin had already been stretched as you gained the weight.  As you lose weight, the skin relaxes and the lines become raised and more prominent.  Congrats on losing the weight, but stretch marks are frustrating for both patients and physicians.

Get eval: If you were obese, and lost a lot of weight, you may have had underlying lipomas (benign fatty tissue tumors) that are now becoming palpable with your weight loss.  Get them evaluated to be properly diagnosed.  Best wishes and congratulations on the weight loss if you are trying to lose. (If you were not trying to lose-certainly get eval asap).
