I  like melatonin.: Valerian root ; chamomile are also popular. Insure that you use good sleep hygiene. Retire ; rise same time each day. Keep bedroom dark ; cool ; use only for sex ; sleep. Turn off tv. No naps. Exercise regularly but not in late evening. No caffeine for 6 hrs ; no alcohol or tobacco w/i 2 hrs of sleep. Keep dinner moderate sized ; finish at least 2 to 3 hrs before sleep. Can try warm milk.

i take ativan (lorazepam) 1 mg 3 times per day and i don't feel sedated or "drunk" but when i drive , even hours after taking the medication i've gotten into minor accincidents and will drive up in the kerb. why?

Impairment: The fact that you have had accidents suggests you are impaired even though you don't notice it. You should not take Ativan (lorazepam) if you are going to drive. Discuss this with your doctor.
