ESR to Eval Anemia: You can use the ESR to help differentiate iron deficiency anemia (low esr) from inflammatory anemias (high esr). Both categories of anemias can present with the similar indices, so the ESR can help differentiate the two.

Skin damage: A hematoma does not last for two years. This is something else. If you have pain or deformity it needs to be evaluated by a physician.

Anemia: Iron is critical to making hemoglobin. Iron deficiency cause anemia. If it is low, it can be due to several causes and should be investigated carefully. See your doc right away if you think you are low in iron and/or anemic.

Lack of iron: Iron loss through bleeding, or iron deficiency through poor nutrition or poor absorption may lead to iron deficiency anemia.  The diagnosis is relatively simple to make and the treatment is inexpensive and effective.  In spite of this, it is the most common form of qnemia in the us. See your doctor if you suspect you have anemia.

Probably not: Postural tachycardia syndrome is complex overlapping syndrome of unknown causes.  Cfs/fm are a part of this array. You and your doc should be able to correct you iron levels, once stable if the pots goes away, that is a 1 to 1 relationship. If when the iron is correct and you still having pots, you need to balance yourself and get a 2nd opinion. Begin a self-care w a wellness program. See my page.

Yes: Mild iron deficiency does not, but severe forms can cause many symptoms including headache. Correcting this will alleviate this and other symptoms such as weakness, fatigue, irritability,dizziness, ice craving, and trouble concentrating
