Possibly: If not symptom free it could mean that you have clindamycin-resistant strain of the bacteria.  I would see your doctor and discuss possible alternative therapies.  Metronidazole is another choice.  So is the use of probiotics, like Luvena, for example.  Talk to your doctor, consider re-exam to see if clue cells still present.

Healed: A draining wound or skin infection should be covered with a dressing. The exudate can spread infection.  Is the infection MRSA ? After 48 hours of antibiotics and no fever can return to work with a covered skin infection. Until the Staph skin infection is healed the exudate has active bacteria in it and should be disposed of in a sanitary manner.

i have moderate acne. i have tried minocycline and clindamycin alongside tretinoin and they all worked great temporarily, but the acne comes back. what do i do since antibiotics shoukd not be used long term?

: Antibiotic treatment for acne susally takes about 3-4 months to allow the acne to heal. If you were not on it long enough, that could have been a problem for treatment and you may want to try antibiotics for at least 4 months. In women, spironalactone can be effective as well. Isotretinoin precription is also used for severe acne. You can discuss these options with your Dermatologist.

No: there is a generic form of this combination med in the US, but it is also a prescription med.For those who have gone through the various strengths of OTC benzoil peroxide and not gained control, the prescribed meds remain the best alternative available.

Allergic rashes can last a few days, but can be much longer in a few unlucky people. A doctor can evaluate.
