Good=plant/fish fat: Good carbs are whole grains. Bad carbs are refined carbs ("white" sugar, bread, rice, and the darth vader evil high fructose corn syrup). Good fat comes from fish and plants (olive oil, avocado, nuts for example). Bad fat are saturated trans fat (fake fat) and animal fat like beef. Depends: Carbs" Carbohydtates" are part of nutrition releasing most immediate energy. If not burned by activity - will deposit as fatt cells in our body. Depends which carbs... natural as fruit, vegetable are great. But avoid " Man made" carbs as bakery goods , sweets, juices, sodas... most are processed and have no nutritional value except excess calories converting  to abdominal fat. Balance is tje key.

Examples of complex carbs:  fruits, veggies, nuts, beans, legumes, brown rice, oatmeal, herbs, milk, wholegrain foods.

Because...: Carbs are the only macronutrient inessential to human life.  This is not true for protein and fats.  With these, the body will produce sugar as needed. Carbs stimulate Insulin release which is harmful and the major cause for obesity!

Avoid sugary foods, sodas, and chips.  Although they are indeed high calorie, they do not provide appropriate nutrition and are difficult for your body to process.  Good luck!
