want to switch 12.5 mg of metoprolol from night to daytime. i take it for pvcs heart rate at night before i take it is at 53 to 55. my thinking is i would be better to take it in the morning. i also take 5mg of lisinopril ill move it to nighttime?

: You would need to skip a dose of the metoprolol one night and then take the metoprolol dose the next morning. Then, that same morning, don’t take the lisinopril but take the lisinopril that night. This would switch the 2 meds. The lisinopril will not affect your heart rate, just your blood pressure. Good luck to you!

Unlikely : As you mentioned, beta blockers lower heart rate. Ace inhibitors such as Lisinopril do not possess that property.

i have recently been diagnosed with high blood pressure and just woke with a heart rate of 120 should i be concerned ? i have been taking lisinopril for 3 days

I'm : I'm an ENT physician, however, it is not normal to have a heart rate of 120. It is possible your blood pressure dropped either from the medication or related to positional (orthostatic) changes in going from lying down to upright posture which causes the heart to beat faster to maintain cardiac output. I would definitely discuss this with your internist or cardiologist. This usually is not a serious problem.

Just minimally: Lisinopril and related drugs (ace/arbs) minimally lower heart rate (just 2-3 points on average), more only if the potassium goes up excessively. Other BP meds that lower heart rate more include beta-blockers, clonidine, and sometimes Diltiazem verapamil. Rates of 60 and above usually are ok, .

i am on a low dose of lisinopril and my heart rate gets down to 34bmp. i wear a fitbit to monitor and i have bradycardia.  is this safe for me to take?

Odd issue: I can't see that the Lisinopril would effect your heart rate at all. Regardless, either your fitbit is not picking up an accurate heart rate or you have a real problem.Call your doc now &amp; discuss the situation.

i am an a-fib patient currently in normal sinus rhythm taking fleccanide, toprol, and lisinopril. now elevated heart rate up to 112. blood sugar 339.

The two: are most likely unrelated.
If the rapid rate is IRREGULAR  seek immediate attention you may be back in atrial FIB..If the pulse is regular..an adjustment in your medication (Toprol) may be indicated'

?drug reaction, flu: Sometimes, drug combinations can be a problem, such as a seratonin syndrome.  But this time of year, several influenza problems are occurring.  See your doctor and get this addressed.

Lisinopril: In general Lisinopril doesn't affect heart rate much if at all. In a CHF patient, if Lisinopril increases the ef, the heart rate might decrease some.
