Welcome: to your body. The stomach is a muscular  organ located on the left side of the upper abdomen. The stomach receives food from the esophagus from your mouth. This is where a major part of digestion of food occurs. The stomach secretes acid and enzymes that digest the food. Ridges of muscle tissue called rugae line the stomach. The rugae contract periodically churning food. Growling may mean hunger.

: Noise from this area comes from the movement of the air swallowed during feeds and gas released when gut germs feed on digestive debris. The stomach is a muscular organ that churns food to mix it with acid before it moves through the digestive process. Cramping may or may not be a part of an illness or food intolerance. The pattern is too vague to define which.

i've had noisy stomach for 2months, sounds like hunger or liquid. i went to gi and was told it's borborygmi. no stomach pain  . can this be true?

Symptom: Borborygmi is the symptom or sound the stomach makes when it is active.  It can be a "normal" symptom for some people, but it sounds like this is new for you.  Without other symptoms it is difficult to say if this is a problem or not.

Pulsation after meal: What you are likely experiencing is a normal phenomenon called a "parasympathetic shunt."  When you are digesting food, blood is directed to the intestines and you may actually be able to detect an abdominal pulsation.  Another possibility is that, if your abdomen becomes distended after a large meal, the pulsation of a large blood vessel, the aorta, may be transmitted throughout the abdomen.

Reflux likely: Sounds to me like reflux.  Take some malanta or maalox initially and see if it resolves. The symptoms should improve.  You can also try tums (calcium carbonate). Ideally you should try to stay away from foods that cause reflux like coffee, chocolate, acidic foods, tomatoes etc..  Also, try not to eat a lot before bed.  Give yourself 3 hrs to let the food settle before bed.   Good luck!

Sometimes doppler studies will be done to evaluate blood flow to various organs. Why do you ask?

Stomach pain: Stomach or abdominal pain has many causes.  When you see your doctor, they'll ask you lots of questions: is it worse before or after you eat? Are your bowel movements normal? How long?  Any nausea? Does eating make it feel better?  You really deserve a thorough history and exam to get to the bottom of it.  The popping sound can be normal peristalsis moving food through the GI tract.
