Greasy stool?: Yes...Are you seeing oily stools with floating oil droplets (which implies fat maldigestion from use of dietary fat blockers, pancreatic and/or biliary disease, small bowel malabsorption, or excessive dietary fat intake) or mucusy stool (due to a range of conditions from inflammatory, infectious, ischemic, or "functional" due to rectal dysfunction, colon delay, or irritable bowel syndrome)?

Diarrhea: Diarrhea after a salmonella infection can be due to continuing infection(until cultures of stool are negative),antibiotic associated diarrhea(if you were given them), or post infectious irritable bowel syndrome  which can last weeks. Your physician,who knows all your findings, can advise you best.

No: There will be a small amount of secretion and material from bacterial growth in the colon but the volume will be miniscule and more like cloudy water at the most.  Fiber and other material in the diet contributes the main bulk to the feces.

You should: see a doctor.  It is abnormal to have diarrhea for such a long time.  It could be serious GI infection or even ulcerative colitis.

Time for the ER: Black in stools is considered blood, unless there is another good explanation for the black color. Bloody diarrhea means a trip to the ER, for an examination and tests. The doctors will figure out what's wrong. It's best to go to the ER instead of waiting at home to see what happens next.

See answer: Fat malabsorption is usually classified by oily / greasy stools that usually float and are almost always very stinky. Malabsorption is a chronic issue, usually occuring for months. If it happened one time, it is probably nothing to worry about.

No,: This may be related to high fiber in grits or fat and lactose content in cheese.  Persistent diarrhea, especially with cramping and fever is more likely to be an infection.  It is unlikely that this will have an impact on your pregnancy. Congratulations.

:  If it's happening quite often (daily, or a few times a week), it could be abnormal and you should speak with your doctor. But if less, it's probably entirely normal:  all humans experience this from time to time.
