No: Anaphylaxis is a lift-threatening allergic reaction and not just what you have .  In fact, in the absence of itching, your problem is more likely from an irritant.   Chronic Prednisone intake may also thin your skin and lips.

3 days ago ive had itching on my left side of my lip line no burning no blisters no nothing could it be a cold sore ? its very unnoticeable when i touch its like a very small bump since we been home could it be allergies or something ?

Lip bump: A lump on the lip may be a cold sore. There are other possibilities, it should be seen by a doctor.

Tingling: Is it one side or both? If one side may be from your dental nerve which could be teeth or bite related? If not there are may causes including vitamin deficiency. See your doctor to check it out

Yes: It will heal in a week. Does not matter what you put on it. If you get these a few times a year, protect lips and face from sun. There are sunscreen chapsticks. Valacyclovir 2 grams at the first symptoms(prodrome) of the next attack will turn it off. You must be prepared beforehand. There are no side effects.

i have herpes type ii. for a month now ive had tingling & burning sensation & lip quivering on my upper lip but no cold sore has appeared. ive taken valacyclovir 1 g for 14 days but has not relieved symptoms am i having an outbreak? or something else

Not herpes: To be sure you understand: HSV2 is the virus, not the disease. Genital herpes can be caused by either HSV1 or 2, but HSV2 infrequently infects the mouth -- i.e. most people with genital HSV2 never get cold sores from it. Herpes doesn&#x27;t cause &quot;tingling and burning&quot; without visible sores, and herpes outbreaks never last a whole month. And non-improvement on valacyclovir confirms it&#x27;s not herpes.

: Zoster vaccine is for preventing shingles (herpes zoster outbreak) not for herpes labialis (cold sores) caused by HSV-1. More than 50% of American adult have latent HSV-1 although most are symptomatic. Yes, kissing can transmit the virus especially when you have an active lesion.

Few causes: If not cold sore virus related then there will be couple causes i can think of such as  sensory nerve or skin damage in the lips and surrounding tissues from burns. Chemicals, food, and sun exposure may cause such burns. Also neuropathy from diabetes can cause burning. See a doctor in person.

: The main cause of new genital ulcers (sores) is genital herpes. Other viral infections sometimes can do this, or severe yeast infection. See a doctor ASAP -- the sooner the better for accurate diagnosis and effective treatment, especially if it's herpes. Good luck.
